Creamy Dill Dressing Recipe

Method

  1. 1

Add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk until smooth and fully combined. No blender needed. Taste and adjust with more dill, lemon, salt, or pepper.

  2. 2

Use for salads or as a dip for crisp vegetables.

  3. 3

If the sauce/dressing is too thin you can add a touch more mayo for a thicker sauce/dressing.

  4. 4

Allow the sauce to sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving. This helps the flavors meld.

  5. 5

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Use whole milk Greek yogurt for the thickest, creamiest result. Low-fat will work but the dressing will be thinner. Fresh dill is strongly preferred. If using dried, substitute 1 to 1.5 teaspoons and allow extra resting time in the fridge. Let the dressing rest for at least 30 minutes before serving. The flavors meld significantly and it makes a noticeable difference. To thin: add lemon juice one teaspoon at a time. To thicken: stir in more Greek yogurt or mayo. Stores in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Stir before each use. Do not freeze, the yogurt base breaks down after thawing. For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
